Quick Verdict

IC Trading is a CFD broker run by Capital Point Trading Ltd and licensed by the Financial Services Commission of Mauritius. It delivers what its marketing promises on the trading side: genuine 0.0 pip raw spreads, commissions from $6 per lot round turn, more than 2,850 instruments, three platforms and a $200 entry point, with no deposit or withdrawal fees of its own and client money held in segregated trust accounts.

Rating: 4.6 / 5 · Best for cost-sensitive scalpers and EA traders who know what they are doing. Check current IC Trading conditions.

What IC Trading Is

IC Trading is the trading brand of Capital Point Trading Ltd, which the site states is “regulated by the Financial Services Commission of Mauritius (FSC) with License Number: GB21026834”. That number is worth noting, because it is the kind of detail you can take to a regulator’s register and verify — not every broker in this category gives you one.

The offer is built around four headline figures the homepage repeats: spreads from 0.0 pips, leverage up to 1:500, micro lots from 0.01, and over 2,850 tradable instruments, with support advertised as 24/7. On the day we looked, the live pricing table on the homepage showed EUR/USD at a 0 spread, gold at 4.3 and the US30 index at 12.

Everything is CFD-based — you are trading contracts on price movements, not owning the underlying asset, with the single exception that stock CFD holders do receive dividend adjustments. The risk warning on every page is the standard one, and it is worth reading rather than scrolling past.

Accounts and What a Trade Actually Costs

IC Trading account comparison showing commissions, spreads, leverage and server locations
The official account comparison. Note the order limits and server locations. Screenshot: ictrading.com

There are three live accounts, and all three share the same $200 suggested starting deposit, 1:500 leverage, 50% stop-out level, 61 currency pairs, micro-lot trading and an optional swap-free setting.

Account Platform Commission Spread from Max open orders Server
cTrader Raw Spread cTrader $3.00 ($6.00 round turn per $100k) 0.0 pips 2,000 London
Raw Spread MetaTrader $3.50 per side ($7.00 round turn) 0.0 pips 200 New York
Standard MetaTrader None 0.8 pips 200 New York

Now the part most reviews skip: the commission-free account is the most expensive one. On a standard lot, 0.8 pips of spread on EUR/USD costs roughly $8 round turn. The Raw Spread account charges $7 and the cTrader account $6, both on top of a spread that starts at zero. Unless you are trading in very small sizes where a fixed commission bites, Standard is the worst value of the three, and “Zero Commission” is doing marketing work rather than saving you money.

Two other details in that table are genuinely useful and rarely reported. The cTrader account allows 2,000 open positions against 200 on the MetaTrader accounts, which matters if you run grid or basket strategies. And the servers sit in different cities — London for cTrader, New York for MetaTrader — so if you are latency-sensitive and colocating a VPS, that choice is made for you by the account you pick.

IC Trading places no restrictions on trading style: scalping, hedging and EAs are all permitted, and there is no minimum order distance. A free demo account is available before you commit, and the live account specifications are published in full.

Markets: 2,850+ Instruments, but Leverage Varies

The instrument count is real and unusually broad for a broker at this size. Broken down by the firm’s own product pages:

Market Instruments Max leverage Notes
Forex 61 pairs 1:500 Majors, minors, exotics; from 0.0 pips
Commodities 22+ 1:500 Metals, energy and softs
Stocks 2,100 ASX, NASDAQ, NYSE; dividends paid; MT5 only
Indices 25 1:200 Commission-free
Cryptocurrency Majors incl. BTC, ETH 1:200 24/7 trading; swap-free option
Bonds 9 1:200 US Treasuries and corporates
Futures 5 1:200 Commission-free

The headline “1:500” is accurate but narrower than it looks. It applies to forex and commodities only. Indices, crypto, bonds and futures are all capped at 1:200. If your strategy assumed 1:500 across the board, that assumption needs checking before you size a position.

The stock offering is the standout number — 2,100 individual shares across three exchanges, with dividend adjustments credited, is more than most CFD brokers of this size carry.

Platforms: Pick Carefully, Because They Are Not Equal

IC Trading offers MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5 and cTrader, all available on desktop, browser and mobile, all supporting expert advisors, backtesting, custom indicators and historical data. That is where the similarity ends, and the differences are the kind that only become obvious after you have funded an account.

  • MetaTrader 5 is the only platform carrying stock CFDs. It also covers forex, commodities, indices, crypto and bonds. No multi-monitor support and no cloud-synced profiles.
  • MetaTrader 4 is the only platform carrying futures, alongside forex, commodities, indices, crypto and bonds — but no stocks. Also no multi-monitor or cloud profiles.
  • cTrader covers forex, commodities, indices and crypto only — no stocks, no bonds, no futures. In exchange it is the only one with detachable multi-monitor charts and cloud-based profile management, plus the higher 2,000-order limit and the cheapest commission.

The practical rule: want shares, take MT5. Want futures, take MT4. Want to scalp across several screens with settings that follow you between machines, take cTrader and accept the narrower instrument list. The full platform comparison is on IC Trading’s site.

Funding and Withdrawals

Accounts can be held in ten currencies — AUD, USD, EUR, GBP, SGD, NZD, JPY, HKD, CHF and CAD — which removes a conversion step for most traders.

On fees, IC Trading’s policy is clear and in the client’s favour: “We do not charge any additional fees for deposits” and the same for withdrawals. The honest caveat is in the next sentence of their own policy — intermediary and international banking fees can still apply on wires and cards, and those are the client’s responsibility. So “free” means free from the broker, not necessarily free end to end.

  • Cards and e-wallets: instant
  • Bank transfer: 2–5 business days
  • Crypto (USDT, USDC, BTC, ETH): instant to 2 hours
  • Local currency methods (BRL, VND, PHP, JPY, MYR, THB): instant to 24 hours

Two operational details worth knowing before you need them. Withdrawal requests must be in by 06:00 MUT to be processed the same business day; anything later rolls to the next one. And IC Trading does not accept third-party payments — the funding source must be in the same name as the trading account, with joint accounts allowed only if you are named on them. That is standard anti-money-laundering practice, but it catches people out.

Client funds are held in segregated client trust accounts with top-tier international banks, kept apart from the company’s own operating money.

Safety permit:

IC Trading regulations page describing FSC Mauritius oversight

What is real. The FSC licence number is published and verifiable. Client money is segregated at top-tier banks. There is a documented AML and KYC framework, an independent auditor, and a full set of public legal documents including an order execution policy and a dispute resolution policy. That is meaningfully more structure than the unlicensed offshore brokers this industry is full of.

Who IC Trading Suits

A good fit if you trade often enough that spread and commission are your dominant cost, you run EAs or scalp and want a broker that will not restrict you, you already know how to resolve your own problems, and you understand exactly what a Tier-3 licence does and does not cover. On pure cost, the cTrader Raw Spread account at $6 round turn on a zero spread is competitive against anything in the market.

Verdict

IC Trading is a competent, properly licensed broker that does the hard technical parts well and the soft parts poorly. The pricing is honest and among the best available, the platform choice is real, the instrument range is unusually deep for its size, and the money-handling policies — segregation, no broker fees, ten currencies, fast crypto rails — are all better than average.

Rated 4.6 out of 5. Start on the demo, take the Raw Spread or cTrader account rather than Standard, size positions for 1:200 unless you are trading FX or commodities, and keep only what you are actively trading in the account. Current IC Trading spreads and account conditions are here.
